The customer experienced significant water damage in their finished basement due to a leaking water softener unit. The water affected carpet, padding, and furnishings, necessitating immediate water mitigation services.
Solutions provided:
Dayspring Restoration responded to the Category 1 water loss, conducting an initial assessment, moisture mapping, and collecting a deposit. Services included removing baseboards and wet carpet padding, applying an antimicrobial, and setting up drying equipment, including fans and dehumidifiers. Content manipulation was performed, and detailed documentation was captured via DocuSketch. Technicians conducted daily follow-ups, adjusting equipment, removing fans as areas dried, and drilling holes in the bedroom trim to facilitate drying. Once walls and carpet were confirmed dry, all equipment was removed. A final mitigation report and MACROS were generated, a Certificate of Completion was signed by the customer, and invoices were sent to the project manager and insurance.
