A clean water pipe burst on the third level of a home in Conrad, MT, causing extensive water damage across multiple floors. The third-floor bathroom experienced damage to carpet, pad, wall tile, and subfloor, with persistent moisture detected behind the tile wall surrounding the toilet. The main level had affected carpet, pad, and subfloor. The basement sauna and a small area of concrete showed light moisture. The 2nd-floor laundry room carpet in front of the washer and dryer was also impacted, later showing staining and delamination.
Solutions provided:
Dayspring Restoration provided a thorough water damage restoration service. The initial phase included on-site inspection, contract documentation, deposit collection, and docusketching. Water extraction was performed on all affected carpeted areas, including the third-floor bathroom, main level, and 2nd-floor laundry room. Drying equipment, such as air movers and dehumidifiers, was strategically deployed across the third-floor bathroom, main level, basement sauna, and 2nd-floor laundry room. Multiple monitoring visits were conducted to assess drying progress, and equipment was removed from areas that met dry standards, including the main level, basement, and 2nd-floor laundry room. Antimicrobial agents were applied to all affected surfaces. Further mitigation involved the removal of the old toilet and seal, plugging the drain, and the complete removal of all damaged carpet, pad, nails, and staples from affected areas. The site was thoroughly cleaned, and all remaining drying equipment was removed. Various reports, drying logs, and a certificate of completion were generated and updated throughout the project.
