Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner, Bryn Debeikes, contacted our emergency team from out of town after an occupant discovered extensive water spreading through the home. Upon completing our comprehensive on-site structural inspection, we traced the core source of the water damage to a failing water heater unit rather than a radiator leak. The water had heavily saturated the laundry room sheet vinyl flooring, migrated into the bathroom and adjacent lower-level hallway, and completely soaked into the subfloor assembly. Because the owners live out of town, they required a trusted specialist team to self-manage the emergency teardown, document the structural impact, and address the compromised subfloor layers.

Solutions provided:

We executed a targeted, aggressive demolition and structural drying program to eliminate trapped moisture- Controlled Multi-Room Demolition: Removed the compromised bathroom and laundry room fixtures, stripped away the water-damaged sheet vinyl flooring, and cut out the severely rotted plywood subflooring down to the exposed joists. Underbelly Insulation Extraction: Removed all water-logged underbelly insulation from the floor joist cavities. Because of the extremely restricted crawl space clearance underneath the property, we meticulously pulled the saturated material out from above to expose the framework. Advanced Void & Structural Drying: Deployed an LGR industrial dehumidifier alongside targeted axial air movers to push high-velocity airflow into the exposed joist cavities and subfloor framing to prevent timber warping and microbial decay. Crawl Space & Utility Mapping: Implemented vapour barrier lining over vulnerable floor spaces and documented the utility line exposures to ensure the entire sub-structure returned to certified dry standards before rebuilding.
