Why did the customer contact you?
The customer contacted Dayspring Restoration following property damage that affected multiple living areas throughout the home, including the kitchen, living room, bedroom, closet, and bathroom. Significant damage to building materials—including broken countertops, ruined MDF trim, deteriorated drywall, compromised LVP flooring, and moisture issues requiring structural drying—necessitated professional mitigation and full pre-loss reconstruction.
To resolve the property damage, we provided comprehensive mitigation, structural drying, and full-scope reconstruction across all affected living areas to return the home to its pre-loss condition. Throughout the kitchen and living room, we carefully detached and reset essential fixtures and appliances—including the gas fireplace insert and stove—to create full access for interior repairs. We dismantled and removed the damaged kitchen countertops, detached and re-secured existing cabinetry, replaced damaged MDF trim and quarter-round moldings, and laid new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring. In the bedroom and adjoining closet, our team executed a complete rebuild of the lower structural walls, cutting back damaged sheetrock, hanging and finishing fresh drywall, and applying primer and paint for a seamless, uniform appearance. All electrical outlets and heating register covers were detached and securely reinstalled. For the bathroom reconstruction, we removed compromised door trim, detached the bathtub and toilet, and prepped the shower enclosure. To ensure long-term structural integrity and moisture protection, we stripped the damaged shower entry materials, sourced matching tile to seamlessly blend with existing finishes, and installed a dedicated Schluter waterproofing system before completing tile reconstruction and reinstalling the bathroom fixtures. Throughout every phase of the project, commercial-grade air movers and LGR dehumidifiers were deployed to achieve complete structural drying of exposed wall cavities and subflooring prior to final rebuild.
