The customer contacted us due to extensive water damage across the main level and second floor of their commercial property. The affected areas included the sales floor, bathroom hallway, restrooms, utility closet, kitchen, upstairs hallway, and laundry room, with active water discharge originating from HVAC ducting in the utility closet and standing water accumulation across multiple rooms.
Our team extracted standing water from both levels, including the kitchen and restrooms, and safely cleared away fallen ceiling tiles. We strategically installed drying equipment throughout the building, including ducted dehumidifiers targeting interstitial ceiling spaces, and conducted daily atmospheric and moisture monitoring using DocuSketch. Additional mitigation measures included attempts to introduce airflow beneath elevated laminate flooring, removing rubber cove base, recommended vent holes in wall assemblies, and preparing the property for ongoing structural drying.
