The customer contacted us due to an emergency flooding event originating in their utility room, likely caused by a failure in the water heater, water filtration system, or HVAC unit. The failure resulted in significant standing water pooling across the concrete floor.
Our team initiated a rapid emergency water mitigation response, beginning with the extraction of all standing water from the utility room's concrete subfloor. We then systematically tracked the water migration using digital moisture meters, which indicated maximum saturation levels in the adjoining rooms. To facilitate proper structural drying, we pulled back the affected carpeting, removed the severely compromised "Spillguard" carpet padding, and lifted the interlocking foam floor mats to expose the wet concrete beneath. This thorough tear-out and water mapping prepared the entire affected footprint for the deployment of commercial dehumidifiers and air movers.
