The customer, Kristen, contacted us following a significant clean-water leak from a supply line in her guest bathroom. Although Superior Plumbing successfully repaired the pipe, the property sustained substantial water damage and subsequent microbial growth. Crucially, the moisture had migrated downwards, leaving the subfloor insulation heavily saturated and creating a perfect environment for structural rot and widespread mould. Kristen required an immediate expert assessment, insurance-ready documentation, and an actionable remediation plan to restore her home safely.
We executed a comprehensive water damage restoration and environmental remediation strategy, including- Site Inspection & Insurance Liaison: Conducted a swift site visit to map the moisture profile and document the damages, providing transparent reporting aligned with her American Modern insurance claim. Mould Remediation & Containment: Isolated the affected guest bathroom using heavy-duty plastic sheeting containment zones to prevent dangerous spore cross-contamination into living areas during the teardown. Controlled Demolition & Stripping: Carefully removed contaminated drywall, baseboards, and vanity units to expose the internal framing and subfloor for treatment. Structural Drying & Dehumidification: Deployed commercial-grade dehumidifiers and air movers to aggressively draw out deep-seated moisture from the subfloor and structural timber studs. Subfloor & Crawl Space Restoration: Removed the heavily saturated insulation from the underside of the home and treated the timber framework to prevent future wood rot, preparing the area for future clean encapsulation.
