The customer required a professional inspection after ground water intrusion, likely from heavy rain, resulted in puddling throughout the crawlspace and elevated relative humidity levels of 75%.
We performed an immediate environmental control plan that included extracting standing water from the surface of the vapor barrier and removing saturated wall blanket insulation that was wet to the touch. Industrial air movers and high-capacity dehumidifiers were installed to reduce humidity and stabilize the environment to prevent secondary damage or microbial growth. We monitored the drying process until the space reached a target humidity of 35-40%, at which point the equipment was removed and a professional-grade antimicrobial treatment was applied to the vapor barrier.
